OK, how much does a Blackberry and an email plan really cost?
We agree it used to be complicated to work this out. Here is the up-front and simple math: BlackBerry's on a 3 year term start from $0 (Blackberry Pearl) and Unlimited Email will cost you only $15 per month (half the price it was 1 year ago). Now, as long as you have or sign up to a $20 per month or higher voice plan (plus the standard system access fees and taxes), you simply add $15 (plus taxes), to your monthly rate plan for unlimited email access. That's it!

How can I spice up my rate plan relationship?
2 or 3 years is a long time for any relationship. Things change. You get a new job, move to a new town, meet a girl from Montreal and find yourself calling across Canada too much. Well, you have stacks of rate plan flexibility with Tom Harris Cellular and TELUS to change your rate plan at anytime.
You can change your rate plan up to twice a year. There are a few tiny restrictions, like if you purchased a phone that was heavily discounted you may need to wait 12 months before you can change your rate. But, in most cases you can change your rate plan at any time.

For sure it is hard to compare rate plans. What is best for me? Who is going to give me the best deal? Who has the best Network? We suggest you think about your current and in particular your future wireless communication needs. Today, it is more than just phone calls and voicemail. Do you think you'll have a need for a smartphone (BlackBerry, HTC or Palm) in the next few years? Will you be travelling abroad? Do you call long distance a lot? Write down your needs and questions and begin your comparison shopping.
Surf the Internet, talk to retail sales consultants and find out what the competition and your current provider are offering.

Can I save money by getting a new girlfriend?
It can if she is willing to add you to her Share Plan. Or if she is not, ask a family member. You can all then benefit from share plan savings. You don't all need to be on the same rate plan to benefit from the savings. You can mix and match plans with us to suit every share plan member's needs.

No. As long as you have at least a $20 voice plan you can move into a Blackberry. Simply add a data plan that suits your needs. Most people will start with the unlimited email plan for an extra $15 a month.

I love to travel (us too!) to the USA a few times a year. How much does it cost to use my phone in the USA?
There are a few different ways to approach this and it does depend on what phone you have. To give you an idea (without any promotional or bundle offers) the standard roaming fees in the USA are $0.95 per minute. I'd suggest contacting the Guru before you leave Canada to find out the best way to keep you international roaming fees down.
